Every meeting listed in the directory of Alcoholics Anonymous needs a G.S.R. to serve as a liaison between your group and your District 41 meetings.
General Service Representatives (GSR): The GSRs have the important task of representing their group at district meetings. This entails passing information
Events taking place (locally and in the area)
How/what the district is doing
What took place at the last district meeting District needs/opportunities, both financial and people-wise
How/what the Area is doing (this also includes GSO)
What took place at the last area meeting Area needs/opportunities, both financial and people-wise
Also of importance is presenting what support the district can provide to the individual group’s specific interest or concerns for presentation to the district committee. This can be any A.A.-related subjects including, but not limited to, proposing specific topics to be presented at a workshop or volunteering to present such workshop, requesting a representative visit their group to discuss a specific subject, evaluating and supporting a literature change or other requests presented.
